Locussed

Background – This is a fictional university brief challenging us to create a brand centred around insects as food. We had to create a brand with a compelling message then launch it through an event with an advertising campaign to follow.  
 
Problem – Australians are feeling disenfranchised with the disproportionate influence of the Church on State matters. A prime example is the religious ‘freedom’ bill which allows blatant discrimination.

Insight – Australians respect the individual right to belief, until religious beliefs impede on the livelihoods or non-religious individuals.
Idea – The bible teaches that locusts were sent down as a punishment to those who had ‘sinned. We are playing on the link between judgement, religion and locusts. By creating a protein bar which allows our audience to quite literally fuel their wrath.
