More Crafts
A selection of more arts and crafts I enjoy tinkering away at when I find the time.
Cyanotype Printing
Cyanotype printing is a photographic process that uses UV light to create a cyan-blue print. It’s one of the oldest photographic printing methods.
The images featured show an installation of clothing I curated with horrific quotes from police and judges during rape trials. The work aims to create parallels between the cyanotype printing process/method and effect of these archaic views.
Also featured is some personal photographs I printed for friends. This year I aim to create a collection of t-shirts with funky images from rodeos, vintage archives and awkward celebrity shoots.

Lino Cutting
Lino printing is a printmaking technique that involves carving a design into a linoleum block which is then covered in ink and printed from.
When my mum and I find the time to get crafty in her studio I often reach for the lino blocks. I love making silly little linocut designs that I can print onto paper to use as homemade cards.
Stop Motion Animation
A short animation I created for a university assignment. It follows a little creature that drinks something funky and gets sick.
We learnt a range of different animation techniques including claymation, cut-out and object animation, rigging, designing characters and editing in Adobe After Effects.
Pinhole Camera Photography & Darkroom
A pinhole camera is a simple camera without a lens. Instead it uses a light-proof box with a pinhole to make a photograph. The pinhole projects an inverted image onto photographic paper which is then developed in a darkroom.
Using a panettone box and chemicals from uni I created a pinhole camera and darkroom at home. With lots of trial and error I managed to get a few successful images.
